A lot of people have commented that the new Toptank is basically a Subtank Mini with topfill, and I agree. Still, if you don’t own a Subtank Mini yet, the Toptank is a great tank to own. Not that there was anything actually wrong with the Subtank Mini – in fact I still use it all the time – but any design improvement is a great thing.
Kangertech could have called it the “Subtank Mini Version 2” but for whatever reason (probably to get more sales), they gave it a new name, and the Toptank was born.
The good news?
All Toptank stock coils – the clapton coilhead, Ni200 and Titatium – are compatible with the Subtank Mini, and vice versa. So, if you’re having trouble finding the new SSOCC coils for the Toptank, buy the older OCC for Subtank Mini and you’re good to go!
